Jeffrey Owen Katz (Chapter 18) is a professional trader and consultant. He is president and founder of Scientific Consultant Services, Inc., a firm that specializes in custom programming, provides expert consultation on systems development and the use of Omega Researchs tools, and develops publicly available cutting-edge software for traders. He has taught at several universities, consulted for major institutions (both private and government), and has been a guest speaker for a wide range of organizations. Ari Kiev (Chapter 10) is a trading consultant to a number of Wall Street hedge funds, where he teaches stress management and maximum performance trading strategies. He is the author of Trading to Win: The Psychology of Mastering the Markets (John Wiley & Sons, 1998). A practicing psychiatrist and Medical Director of the Social Psychiatry Research Institute, Kiev has been a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Cornell University Medical College for the past 30 years. He received his MD degree from Cornell University in 1958 and his law degree from New York Law School in 1988.

Casimir (Casey) Klimasauskas (Chapter 16) is Vice President, Special Project, Advanced Control and Optimization Division, Aspen Technology, Inc. He also has taught occasionally at the Graduate School of Industrial Administration in the Masters in Computational Finance program at Carnegie Mellon University. He co-founded NeuralWare, which was acquired by Aspen Technology in 1998, and has spent the past eleven years combining neural networks, fuzzy logic, genetic algorithms, and statistics to solve complex business problems. Prior to NeuralWare he worked on a variety of projects in Electronic Computer Aided Design (ECAD), robotic vision systems, robotics, real-time operating systems, real-time data analysis and control. Casey received
