Dale Nelson (Chapter 17) is Chief of the Target Recognition Branch of the Sensor ATR Technology Division, Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), Ohio. Prior to this, he held positions as the Program Objective Memorandum Database Administrator for Aeronautical Systems Division at WPAFB and as an aerospace engineer in the Flight Dynamics Laboratory, WPAFB. He was a structural fatigue engineer with Cessna Aircraft, Military Twin Division in Wichita, Kansas prior to assuming positions with the Air Force. Nelson is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). He received his BS in Aerospace Engineering from Tri-State University in Angola, Indiana in 1969, and an MS in Computer Science from Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio, in 1981. He is currently completing his dissertation for a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Ohio University, Athens, Ohio.

David C. Stendahl (Chapter 9) is Vice President of Financial Services with RINA Systems, Inc. Melvin M. Widner (Chapter 4) has had a long career in scientific research. For the past several years Dr. Widner has been studying and investigating financial markets, focusing on technical analysis. Drawing on his background, he has developed and published several new techniques for analysis. One of these is the Projection Band method, a means of determining when trend is changing, and another, the Mobility Oscillator method, the subject of his chapter.
